Hello,
The spring has been somewhat quiet in regards to our cause. I’d like to thank you all for your help with the printing, purchase and placement of yard signs. It proved a little more difficult than anticipated but we did cover most high traffic areas.
Much of the time was spent waiting for Preservation Bath's "get out the vote push". We're proud of our ethical and respectful approach to voter education concerning our cause.
Signs popped up over the last few days that disappointed us. We had expected Preservation Bath would release their own information communicating the merits they view as beneficial to the city of Bath. They chose instead to cloud the question using deceit. The "Vote no to keep golf in Bath" signs for the most part are placed along the course's boundary with Whiskaeg Road.
We've put much effort to move this to the voters and we now hope to have your support at the polls. We are preparing signs that clearly explain the difference between the yes and no votes. A presence of supporters for "YES" along the Old Brunswick Road before the Bath Middle school during voting hours of 8-8 would be optimal. We now have a few volunteers but we need more. We are hoping to have at least 2 supporters for 2 hour shifts. Don't have 2 hours to spare? You can always join supporters for whatever time you can offer. Losing the course as it is today would be painful. To lose it through deception would add salt to the wound.
Please reply to this email with your name, number hours of availability and preferred hours. Your phone number would be a great help as well.
Thank you!
Bill Turcotte
